Sales Manager - Galway Hotel

Our client - Irelands largest hotel group are seeking an experienced Sales manager to join their Sales team in a 4-star hotel located just outside Galway city.
The Sales Manager will focus on maximising sales and meeting revenue goals through bedroom, conference spaces and food & beverage at this 4-star hotel in Galway. You will be required to effectively implement a sales and marketing plan targeting local and global corporate clients, meetings, events, and leisure guests.

The ideal candidate:

  • Previous experience in a similar role ideally in a hotel or customer focused environment.
  • Creative thinker with an outgoing personality to build and maintain relationships.
  • Sales-focused, target-driven, and results-oriented
  • Effective communicator with clients and colleagues, both in writing and verbally
  • Must have access to a car for work and hold a full Driver's Licence.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and oversee daily sales and marketing operations to maximize revenue and profitability.
  • Handle sales activities such as lead generation, client meetings, contract negotiations, site inspections, trade show attendance, and sales trips.
  • Track corporate accounts monthly to monitor performance and address any issues.
  • Manage and respond to corporate and consortia RFPs to ensure hotel inclusion.
  • Analyse GDS reports and intelligence information to develop business channels.
  • Drive meeting and conference business to the hotel.
  • Report account performance and activities weekly and monthly to the General Manager and Central Office
  • Manage the annual marketing budget and online marketing.
  • Create and execute quarterly activity plans to align with business needs.
  • Develop and execute promotional campaigns through local and national media, evaluating their ROI.
  • Conduct regular competitor analysis to monitor their performance, rates, and sales activities.
