We are looking for an Advanced HGV technician with a desire to work a fleet maintenance role based in Stoke-on-Trent.

This role is suited to a person currently working as a workshop supervisor, team lead etc or a senior technician looking to step up in their career.

You will be both on and off the tools. On the tolls you will be working in a modern, fully equipped workshop looking after vehicles for a global distribution company. The off the tools work will be liaising with the transport team, ordering parts and overseeing the work of 4 HGV technicians.

The role is a fixed night shift work 19:00-03:30 Monday to Friday. On Friday there is the option to start and finish earlier.

It is working a 40-hour week. Overtime is paid after 40 hours and at time and a half (1.5x).

Holiday allowance starts at 22 days plus bank holidays, increasing each year of service.

Your role as an Advanced HGV Technician will involve:

• Managing the work and performance of the technicians on shift.
• Help with the day-today running of the office, liaising with different departments.
• Diagnose, repair and document work completed. Ensuring that no vehicle leaves the workshop in an unsafe condition.

Our ideal Advanced HGV Technician will have the following:

• Level 3 NVQ in HGV maintenance or equivalent OR time served experience. Level 2 can be considered
• A 7.5t (CAT C1) licence as a minimum.
• Previous experience as a senior technician, team lead or supervisor.

Hours & Pay for the HGV Technician role:

• 19:00-03:30 Monday to Friday (potential for early shifty time on Friday)
• 40 hours per week
• £25.23ph - £25.75ph
• Overtime paid at 1.5x after 40 hours
