Manpower is recruiting dedicated and reliable Call Handlers to work for our public sector client. You will be required to work weekends and bank holidays on an ad hoc basis to support their operations during peak times.

Location: Llansamlet , SA7 (due to location you must have your own transport)

Contract: Temporary

Duration: Until end of September 2024

Working pattern: 8 am - 6 pm, Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays. You will be required to work weekends and bank holidays on an ad hoc basis.

Hourly rate: £15.75 (Saturdays), £19.72 (Sundays and Bank Holidays)

Additional information: This position requires the successful completion of a one-day training program before you can commence your assignments.

The Role
As a Call Handler, you will play a crucial role in answering incoming calls on the 111 Prescription line, providing exceptional service to patients and ensuring a positive overall experience. Prior to taking on the responsibilities of the role, you will be required to attend a comprehensive 1-2 day training that you must pass.

Responsibilities

  • Answering inbound calls, providing accurate information, and addressing prescription queries with professionalism.
  • Maintaining meticulous and detailed records of all calls handled.

Requirements

  • 5 GCSE's (Grade A-C) or equivalent - evidence required prior to starting
  • Ability to complete a one-day training program successfully
  • Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays as needed
  • Excellent verbal communication and listening skills
  • Satisfactory written references and an enhanced DBS check. Manpower covers the cost of the DBS check.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience in a call centre or customer service role is highly desirable
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Own transport due to the location of the role

Hourly pay rate

  • Saturdays: £15.75 per hour
  • Sundays & Bank Holidays: £19.72 per hour
