Position: Service Centre Day Shift Manager
Location: Home based with the requirement to attend occasional meetings at their Head Office in Rayleigh, Essex
Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Department: Service Centre, Operations
Hours: 40 per week - Week 1: Mon-Fri 7am-3:30pm & Week 2: Mon-Fri 11am-7:30pm
Salary: £48,150.00-£60,990.00 per annum
Clearance: Successful applicants will require Counter Terrorism Clearance (CTC)

About the Role
Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for delivering excellent customer service? Our client who provide housing services is looking for a Shift Manager to lead their Service Centre team. As the first point of contact for inbound communication, your role will be crucial in ensuring a high standard of service and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for coaching, motivating, and guiding your team to meet key performance objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Excellence:

  • Support your team in managing inbound communications and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Ensure daily transport demand is scheduled and align with operational staffing requirements.
  • Maximise the utilisation of rooms/properties for new arrivals, including out-of-hours needs.


Leadership & Management:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for daily queries regarding the transport department.
  • Manage all requests for information, assistance, or complaints received by the Service Centre.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and company policies.
  • Oversee the use of all relevant systems, ensuring data integrity and real-time accuracy.


Team Development:

  • Delegate work effectively and support the training and development of new and existing staff.
  • Conduct regular one-to-one meetings to manage training, performance, and personal development.
  • Foster a supportive environment where staff can thrive and achieve their goals.


Problem Solving & Compliance:

  • Investigate and resolve complaints
  • Ensure proper signposting and escalation of issues, following established protocols.
