Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Mon - Fri, 08.00am until 17.00pm - 40 hrs paid weekly

We have a role available for a maintenance technician to work in Preston.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preventative and reactive repairs and maintenance of plant equipment, infrastructure, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

• Schedule, execute, and oversee maintenance activities to ensure all plant equipment remains operational.
• Develop and implement a timely preventative maintenance schedule for machinery and equipment to maximise up-time.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with equipment and infrastructure.
  Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic assemblies according to diagrams, sketches, operational manuals, and manufacturer specifications.
• Identify potential equipment failures and recommend or implement preventive measures.
  Document and manage records of maintenance repairs, ensuring all technical documentation is accurate and properly stored.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned by the line manager.

Minimum Requirements:

• Relevant qualifications in maintenance, such as a national diploma, apprentice, or NVQ.
• Demonstrated understanding of mechanical plans and the ability the ability to analyse and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic issues.
• Able to read and interpret hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams, including P&IDs.
• The ability to operate with a hands-on approach.
