Position: Health & Safety Advisor
Location: South Dublin (Travel Required)
Must hold a valid full driver's licence

Position Summary:
Our client is seeking a proactive and organised Health & Safety Advisor to join their Compliance Department, focusing on Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) across Ireland. The role involves a combination of office-based tasks and site visits, working closely with the Health & Safety Manager for Ireland & the UK. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring all HSEQ requirements are met and upheld across various projects and sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive Health & Safety support to the Service and Project Departments.
  • 2-3 years of experience in Health & Safety inspections, ideally within a construction, engineering, or similar environment.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure that all personnel are working safely and in compliance with HSEQ standards.
  • Engage with colleagues to encourage active participation in safety practices and foster a culture of safety across all levels.
  • Monitor and audit the compliance of subcontractors, ensuring adherence to safety regulations.
  • Create, review, and consult on Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS).
  • Maintain up-to-date Health & Safety documentation and ensure project folders meet all HSEQ requirements.
  • Collaborate with client Facilities Management teams to ensure a cohesive approach to safety on-site.
  • Assist in the development of Health & Safety training programs in conjunction with the H&S Manager.
  • Contribute to internal and external audits to ensure ongoing compliance and certification.
  • Regular travel across Ireland to visit various client sites.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with colleagues and clients.
  • Competent in Microsoft Outlook, SharePoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to foster a collaborative working environment, promoting safety and compliance.
  • A valid driver's license is essential for this role.

Educational Requirements:

  • NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent qualification in Health & Safety.

Work Environment:
This role offers a flexible working environment, combining home/office-based tasks with regular site visits across Ireland. The successful candidate will work alongside site operatives, managers, and client representatives, ensuring that safety is at the forefront of all operations.
