Manpower are recruiting for Equipment Repair Technician's for our client based in Aylesford, Kent.

MOVING TO LEEDS CASTLE - OCTOBER ONWARDS

Monday - Friday 40 hrs per week £12.20p/h

Join our team as an Equipment Maintenance Technician, where you'll play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for vulnerable individuals in our community. Your work will ensure that essential equipment is meticulously serviced, maintained, and refurbished, enabling people to retain their independence at home. By doing so, you'll help the NHS and Social Services focus on delivering front line care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Equipment Maintenance & Servicing: Perform detailed servicing and maintenance of community equipment, including conducting PAT (Portable Appliance Testing) and LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations) inspections in line with manufacturers' guidelines and company standards.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Complete all necessary paperwork with accuracy, ensuring adherence to both company procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Safe Disposal: Oversee the safe and compliant disposal of decommissioned equipment, following all environmental and safety regulations.
  • Inventory Management: Conduct regular PI (Periodic Inventory) checks to maintain accurate stock levels and manage inventory efficiently.
  • Technical Support: Offer expert advice and troubleshooting assistance on equipment-related issues to ensure smooth operations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Warehouse Supervisor/Manager to monitor consumables and spare parts, ensuring timely and precise order fulfillment.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all equipment leaving the facility is correctly labeled, documented, and meets quality standards before dispatch.
  • Mechanical/Technical Excellence: Uphold high standards of mechanical and technical practice in all tasks performed.
  • Departmental Assistance: Support general warehouse activities, including picking, goods-in, equipment assembly, and housekeeping. Assist in decontamination processes such as cleaning, backdoor processing, and scrapping when required.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in general maintenance or a technical field. Familiarity with PAT & LOLER testing is beneficial but not essential; comprehensive training will be provided.
  • Strong attention to detail, thoroughness, and proficiency with PDAs/Tablets. Willingness to learn new systems and technologies with training.
  • A positive, proactive mindset, excellent organisational skills, and effective time management abilities.
