Join our client's dynamic Planning Team at a leading fragrance site in Ashford, Kent, as a Temporary Planner covering maternity leave. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a key UK operation while managing activities for our client's local site and European Distribution Centre in Belgium, which distributes products globally.



Key Responsibilities

As a Temporary Planner, you will:

  • Manage Raw Materials and Ingredients Supply: Plan, order, and monitor the supply and distribution of products while optimising inventory levels.
  • Coordinate with Stakeholders: Work closely with Global Planning, Manufacturing, Sales, and Supply Chain to execute critical ingredient allocation plans and monitor out-of-stock projections.
  • Participate in Critical Reviews: Engage in meetings to ensure alignment and communication across the organisation.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Utilise LEAN principles to identify and implement improvement measures, contributing to key performance indicators (KPIs) and organisational targets.
  • Build Strong Relationships: Establish connections with Ashford Operations teams and other business partners within our client's organisation.


Your Profile

We are looking for candidates with:

  • A background in Business Administration, Chemical Engineering, or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience in global/regional planning or supply chain functions.
  • Expertise in supply chain processes, particularly in FMCG, and knowledge of fragrance products and ingredients.
  • Proficiency in SAP, BI, BOA tools, and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a matrix environment.
  • A proactive mindset with accountability, initiative, and a commitment to learning and improvement.

Fluency in English is essential.
