We are currently seeking a skilled Mattress Tape Edger to join our clients manufacturing team. This role is crucial in ensuring their products meet the highest standards of quality. If you have experience with mattress tape edging and a keen eye for detail, we want to hear from you!
Job Summary: The Mattress Tape Edger Machine Operative is responsible for operating and maintaining the tape edger machine used in the final stages of mattress production. This role involves setting up the machine, monitoring its operation, and ensuring that mattresses are finished to exact specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience with industrial machinery and a strong commitment to quality.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate the mattress tape edger machine according to production specifications and safety guidelines.
  • Load and position mattresses on the machine, ensuring accurate alignment for tape application.
  • Monitor the machine during operation to ensure proper functioning and make adjustments as needed.
  • Inspect finished mattresses for defects, such as uneven tape application or misalignment, and address any issues promptly.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the tape edger machine to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Follow production schedules and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate production records and report any anomalies or equipment issues to the supervisor.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.


Experience/Skills:

  • Minimum 1 years experience as a tape edger
  • Basic mechanical skills and the ability to perform routine maintenance on machinery.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
  • Ability to read and follow technical specifications and production guidelines.
  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Capacity to lift and manoeuvre materials
  • Manual dexterity to handle machinery controls and perform detailed work.
