Class 1 Driver (C+E)

About the Role: Manpower is seeking a skilled and flexible Class 1 Driver (C+E) to join our team at a major confectionary distributor in the York area. This position offers a variety of shifts including days, nights, nights away, and shunting, with weekend work also required. The role involves working an average of 2 to 4 shifts per week, with shifts typically lasting between 8 to 12 hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Driving and operating Class 1 vehicles.
• Loading and unloading as needed.
• Performing shunting duties.
• Managing heavy lifting, pulling, pushing, and twisting to move goods.

Pay Rates:

• Day Drive: £19.68 per hour
• Night Drive: £20.45 per hour
• Shunting: £21.41 per hour
• Meal Allowance: £10 per shift
• Minimum of 6 hours paid per shift

Requirements:

• 18 months+ of Class 1 driving experience.
• No more than 3 points on your licence; no disqualifications accepted.
• Full flexibility to work various shifts (days, nights, trunking, shunting).

Additional Information:

• Temporary but long-term ongoing basis.
• Paid induction and training (3-hour assessment/induction followed by 3 days of training).
