Maintenance Engineer - Coleraine
Our client are a leading player in the FMCG foods sector, exporting a range of products to local and international markets. Based at their modern production plant in Coleraine, we are recruiting a Maintenance Engineer to join the team working on processing and packaging equipment.
The company take staff development and investment seriously, not only investing in plant improvements but also up-skilling their engineers on PLC courses.
Core hours are Monday to Friday days with flexibility needed for occasional shift cover across the year
Suitable candidates will need a Level 3 apprenticeship in Engineering/ Electrical/ Mechanical, along with maintenance experience in a production / industrial setting.
Ideally candidates will have a good spread of multi-skilled experience across mechanical and electrical systems.
The Role
- Planned and reactive maintenance to ensure smooth production operations
- Mechanical and electrical repairs, fault finding and problem solving
- Carry out repairs efficiently and quickly to a high standard
- Work with diagrams and engineering drawings accurately
- Record maintenance tasks and follow PM schedules
- Support with machine improvements and projects
- Work in line with H&S at all times
- Provide shift cover when required to cover holidays/ absence
What we are looking for
- Level 3 Engineering, Mechatronic OR Electrical apprenticeship
- Multi-skilled across mechanical and electrical systems
- Maintenance experience gained within FMCG production/ manufacturing settings
- Good knowledge of PLC's, automated machinery and preferably food production
- Flexible to provide shift cover
