The role
As a Senior Assurance Officer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will lead the planning and effective delivery of independent assurance activities including audits, topic reviews and studies, as well as supporting the Head of Assurance to establish and maintain the strategic approach to Assurance.
Day-to-day, you'll establish, maintain, and deliver an effective system of assurance for activities in Cavendish Nuclear. Our Senior Assurance Officer is responsible for providing the Cavendish Nuclear Executive with confidence that our capability, strategic resourcing, assurance and engineering processes and procedures are adequate to manage risk at a tolerable level.
- Support the Head of Assurance through maintaining the Assurance Process, Assurance Programme and related Business Management System arrangements.
- Identify non-conformities, opportunities for improvement and positive findings and supporting the business in addressing such findings.
- Support external Assurance activities e.g. Certification Body, Regulatory and customer Audits
- Provide coaching and support on Assurance related matters at all levels across the business.
- Support other business critical Assurance and Governance related activities e.g. Business continuity activities
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 - 3 days in the office/onsite and 2 - 3 days working from home.
Agile working may be available to employees in some instances, applying the principles of fairness and consistency whilst ensuring that the overriding business needs can be appropriately met. Essential experience of the Senior Assurance Officer
- Extensive experience in business assurance management for example strong knowledge of project governance, project lifecycle, business reporting or Health, Safety, Environment and quality.
- Experience working with senior leadership team with ability to present and influence
- Relevant and recent industry experience
Qualifications for the Senior Assurance Officer
- HND or HNC in an appropriate discipline or appropriate level of experience
- Membership of a relevant industry professional body
- Degree level qualification preferred
Security Clearance
