Manpower Recruitment have teamed up with an established College in Oxford City Centre.

We are looking for a Part-Time SENDco to work within the busy office.

The role will be 16HRs per week (Flexibility for the right candidate, with hours either over two to five days)

The role is paying £19000pa (Pro rata)

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time SENDCo to work across three Oxford teaching buildings for two days per week. The role would suit an experienced teacher with a passion for supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities.

All post holders in regulated activity (having regular unsupervised contact with children) are subject to appropriate national and international vetting procedures including satisfactory criminal record checks from both your country of residence/birth and any country of residence within the last 10 years.

Responsibilities will include:

- maintaining the SEN register and provision map


- translating the SEN policy into day-to-day operational processes


- co-ordinating next steps for students that are referred to the SEN team. This could include referring
to other professionals, arranging assessments and preparing individual support plans


- ensuring that the SEN team work effectively together


- ensuring records of support are robust and of a high quality


-improving the sharing of information from the SEN department to the teachers and boarding teams to
improve outcomes for our young people with additional needs


- arranging interventions from a specialist teacher.


-working with the student and fellow teachers to design and deliver the right academic interventions
and environment within the classroom.


- working with the Neurodevelopmental Practitioner, the Access Arrangements Coordinator and the
Assistant SENDCo to ensure that each student with special educational needs receives the correct
level of access arrangements and that all these arrangements are in place
