Site Manager

Manpower are recruiting for a General Manager for our manufacturing client. We are seeking an experienced General Site Manager. The ideal candidate will have experience working with concrete products and leading a team.

Role

• Meet weekly production targets set for the facility.
• Must be able to read Precast Drawings or understand Precast stell fixing
• Allocate production team duties to ensure productive utilisation of human resources.
• Establish and maintain routine and preventative maintenance programs for production facility and mobile plant to minimise down time.
• Ensure adequate stocks of raw materials, plant consumables and spare parts are available at all times.
• Ensure that product conforms to agreed high quality standards.
• Monitor product stocks and plan production accordingly.
• Ensure company employees and sub-contractors comply with the company health & safety policy and procedures.
• Ensure that product is conveyed, stacked and transported securely.
• Actively strive to reduce costs and to maximise productivity of production facility and loading operations.
• Informally and formally report on production and operational issues.
• Carry out duties to meet agreed deadlines.
• Ensure plant and facilities are always clean and tidy.

Criteria

• Experience leading a team
• Experience in construction, manufacturing preferably working with concrete / steel products
• Good organisational and communication skills
• Able to read CAD drawings (desirable not essential)
• Good technical ability, driven, committed
