My client based in Lichfield is currently recruiting for an experience Bike Mechanic to join their team working Monday-Friday 0800-1600 paying between £25,000-26,000 per year
Job Purpose:
You are responsible for the final assembly and set-up of electric and non-electric bikes and works as an integral function for Raleigh UK. Additionally responsible for returned bike inspections and repairs, the bike mechanic will support warranty claims to ensure that bikes are returned to customers in a safe and rideable state
Key responsibilities:
- Perform final assembly and set-up of direct to consumer bike orders and internal build requests
- Use of manufacturer's software and portals to perform e-bike diagnostic checks and set-up inc. fault finding and testing of batteries and systems components.
- Receipt, assessment and repair of bikes returned from consumers and dealers, identifying faults and using the company's systems to order and consume parts.
- Escalate quality issues to the quality team and help provide solutions.
- Use of company systems for stock recording and returned product processing
- Perform unpacking, pre-assembly and repackaging of product as required.
- Ensure safe operation of equipment, manual handling and follow general Health and safety guidelines.
- Contribute to a professional work environment, ensuring that the workshop is tidy and organised
- Develop and maintain product knowledge to a high standard.
- Responsible for personal health and safety and that of other work colleagues and to comply with company's health and safety policy
- Any other reasonable duties within the scope of the role.
