Role Overview
The position involves generating drawings for the repair and manufacture of various components, including bearings and gas turbine parts, while adhering to client specifications.
Key Duties
Utilize 3D design software to create engineering drawings. Gather and prepare basic engineering drawings from provided documents. Engage in reverse engineering of current products using inspection tools. Offer design support for product lines such as seals, fuel systems, and bearings, alongside technical training tailored to client needs. Collaborate with the inspection department. Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards in all documentation and procedures. Make relevant drawings accessible to other departments to aid in part production.
Required Qualifications
A background in mechanical engineering is essential, with a solid understanding of engineering principles. Demonstrated commitment to expanding engineering knowledge. Proficiency in 3D CAD software, with SolidWorks preferred. Ability to operate measuring instruments effectively. Strong planning and organizational skills to meet deadlines and objectives. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Proven ability to work well within a team environment. Proficient in IT, particularly with Microsoft Office and SolidWorks.
