The role
As a Lifting Operations Team Leader, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll lead and manage a team of industrial trades responsible for carrying out a wide range of skilled lifting activities.
Day-to-day, you'll work with Planning Coordinators and Appointed Persons to provide appropriate resource solutions to meet project demands. Ensuring there is suitable lifting accessories available and are controlled in a legislative manner.

  • Review resource loading across individual projects, identifying gaps in resource and developing solutions.
  • Appointment of employees to projects based on analysis of skills, experience, and competencies.
  • Ensure lifting accessories for tasks are maintained, recorded and available.
  • Ensure completion of planned project activities to meet objectives of time, cost, safety, and quality standards.
  • Management of absence, performance, leave and training records.

The successful candidate will be expected to work a flexible schedule, including night shifts. This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Faslane, Clyde.

Essential experience of the Lifting Operations Team Leader

  • Previous supervisory experience preferably working within a lifting / slinging operations environment.
  • Awareness and application of Safe Systems of Work.
  • Safety, Health, Environment, Quality awareness.
  • Experience in collaborating with multiple stakeholders simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
  • Good knowledge and experience of Microsoft package.
