We are currently seeking a Regulatory Specialist to work with our global FMCG client Elida Beauty, renowned for brands such as V05, TIGI, Timotei and Impulse, to become an integral part of their fast-paced FMCG environment.
The position is based in Liverpool, Knowledge Quarter. This is a full-time temporary role for 6 months, requiring 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Compensation for this role is paying between £30,000-£32,000 per annum pro rata, depending on experience.
There will be a requirement to work onsite 2-3 days per week for as long as the business permits including a Tuesday and 2 other days of your choice (Role currently offers a mix of remote & onsite working, subject to adjustment based on business requirements).

Elida Beauty markets a wide portfolio of personal care products across global markets with a turnover of €600M. The consumer safety of our products is our highest priority. You will help ensure all products have been evaluated to be safe for consumer use and that all new products entering the market via innovation projects have been safety assessed by world class third parties. You will contribute to procedures to ensure that all of Elida Beauty's products are regulatory compliant in all markets where directly sold. Compliance includes Product Information Files being maintained and made accessible for inspection, safety data sheets prepared and translated as needed, and REACH requirements for UK and EU satisfied.
Your Role & Key Responsibilities
-work with third party suppliers to ensure that assigned products have been assessed for consumer safety and regulatory compliance
-guide Marketing and product R&D colleagues on regulatory aspects of innovation projects
-provide support for handling technical aspects of any regulatory issues raised by customers, consumers or regulatory authorities (in collaboration with legal team)
-use links to professional, trade associations, NGOs, third parties and online resources to monitor and anticipate PR issues, consumer concerns and environmental impacts to be able take pre-emptive action to align our portfolio and claims to minimise business risk
-approve pack copy and advertising claims from a viewpoint of regulatory compliance
-track material volumes and compliance to REACH regulations
-provide oversight on third parties commissioned to provide regulatory compliance and safety assessment checks on products to ensure conformance to service level agreements.

-maintain excellent records in a digitally accessible format to demonstrate our entire product portfolio has been verified for regulatory compliance and every product has been assessed to be safe for the consumer.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • 2+ years of experience within an FMCG environment with expertise in regulatory requirements, preferably in personal care and/or OTC industry.
  • Active collaboration with R&D and non-R&D functions as well as 3rd parties in support of the innovation program.
  • Pro-active self-direction with a high level of initiative, flexibility and persistence and a very much hands-on approach to results delivery.
  • Good team player with agility to be able to respond quickly on stakeholders' requests.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to assess regulatory risks and opportunities and the impact it has on the existing and innovation portfolio.
  • Ability to apply argumentation to influence internally.
