Scope of work
Supporting remote planning team based in India, the candidate's key responsibility is to provide field detail to the off-site planning team to allow detailed planning completed off site.

  • Assess site and Equipment condition
  • Scope correction, in case if any including field scoping with process planners
  • Process isolation locations
  • Scaffolding/Insulation/any other arrangements required
  • Photographs of site/equipment/process isolation locations
  • Prepare detailed isometric in case of piping jobs which includes:
  • Dimensions of piping and fittings
  • Correct directions
  • Indication of North direction
  • Indication of any non-standard piping/fitting
  • Material of construction of piping and fittings
  • Details of support if any
  • Photographs as required.
  • Indicate any mismatch with existing isometrics when available.
  • Verify the dimensions of available isometric drawings, where in doubt
  • Specify any site hurdles (e.g., a piping present above an equipment which makes an important step to remove piping before removal/maintenance of equipment)
  • To come back with details within the agreed time frame.
  • To share details aggregated from site through emails or shared folder to BTC Planner
  • To follow work flow available for interaction between BTC planner and candidate.
  • If required, to join a combined visit planner with other folks for a specific job on behalf of BTC Planner
  • To provide name plate details of any equipment if required for any specific job.
  • To refer query file on daily basis to find out new queries and respond them on timely basis.
  • To refer emails/Zoom on daily basis to interact with BTC Planners
  • To join query resolution/Backlog clearance meetings or any other invited meetings scheduled on regular basis through zoom call.


Specific Requirements/Work Activities

  • Candidate should be having minimum of 3 years of experience in Petrochemicals/Oil/heavy industry in a piping role.
  • Candidate should be experienced enough to understand technical discussions and necessary jargon's.
  • Candidate should be able to read cross-section drawings of equipment.
  • Candidate should be able to read and prepare rough sketch of piping isometrics.
  • Candidate should be well versed with P&ID and its symbols.
  • Candidate to understand plant layouts and should be easily able to figure out equipment and piping locations from P&ID and equipment functional locations.
  • Candidate to have a basic understanding of Unit he will work on. (Basic process training to be provided on joining)
  • Candidate should have basic computer skills such as MS office, MS Outlook, etc.
  • Candidate should have good communication and relationship management skills.
