Location: Gloucester
Salary: £18 per hour
Hours: Full Time 37 hours per week; part time and flexible hours can be discussed. Gloucester-based role.

About the role
Our Client's Nuclear Services business is a leader in providing technical engineering and project services to the UK's fleet of operating and defuelling nuclear power stations, as well as supporting our new build programme at Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C. We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team and assist in the seamless delivery of our complex portfolio of engineering projects. The Project Support Officer (PSO) plays a pivotal role in providing essential project support and management information to facilitate informed decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Group Leaders and project managers in managing
  • A year-ahead work plan, considering internal resources, external resources and funding constraints.
  • Financial transactions such as raising orders, managing external budgets, and ensuring accuracy of accruals.
  • Provision of management information to delivery teams to ensure ongoing alignment of current work portfolio with available internal and external resources and budgets.
  • Learning and interfacing with our software systems - gaining familiarity and then acting as interface
  • AMS - document management (uploading documents, setting up and putting onto approval route lists), action chasing, commitment monitoring, chasing, updating
  • Teamcentre - document management (uploading documents, setting up and putting onto approval route lists), action chasing, commitment monitoring, chasing, updating
  • CEMAR - uploading contract documents
  • MyLearningHub - training administration. Allocating (and removing) roles to/from individuals
  • Corrective Action Process (CAP) - supporting interface with this tool to raise and manage condition reports (CR)
  • Insight - supporting interface with this tool
  • Administrative tasks such as; setting up meetings, booking meeting rooms, secure escorts, taking meeting minutes, chasing up actions, etc
  • Offer ad-hoc support as required by business needs.



Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in providing proactive support in a business environment.
  • Proficient in numerical analysis and reporting, with strong analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel for reporting and analysis.
