Class 1 Night Driver
Sherburn in Elmet, L225 6EZ

Contract: Temp ongoing or temp to perm depending on availability
Shift times: Monday - Friday evening starts (earliest 16:00pm start) - no bank holidays or weekends.
On average 48 hours per week, with flexibility for fewer hours if requested.
Pay Rate: £17.35 per hour, paid weekly; additional allowances for nights out

We are currently recruiting LGV CE Drivers to join our team in Sherburn in Elmet, working on our contract with British Gypsum.

You will be driving one of our modern fleet of vehicles and trailers and will typically drop and swap trailers at our other locations across the UK, carrying out on average two drops per night. Perhaps you have recently passed your Class 1 licence and you are looking for your first driving job?

Responsibilities:

• You will be safely driving our HGV Class 1 Vehicles in a courteous manner
• Delivering trailers of products to and from other British Gypsum depots across the UK - no handballing required.
• Dropping and swapping trailers
• Making sure all goods are correctly strapped before commencing journeys
• Driving the latest equipment and operating to FORS Gold level safety standards

Requirements:

• Valid LGV C+E Licence
• An up-to-date CPC and DIGI card
• No more than 6 points on your licence
• No DD, DR or IN endorsements showing on your licence
