Manpower are now recruiting a HR Assistant to join their prestigious client at their head office in Preston. The position is available to cover a maternity cover contract for a period 0f 6 - 9 months. The hours are Monday - Friday, 8.30 am - 5pm, 4pm finish on Friday.

You will be working in a very busy and dedicated department where no two days are the same! The position will offer a varied role and we therefore require someone who is very organised, strong on IT packages (Word, Excel, databases and reporting) and good overall admin experience.

The day to day duties include:

Administration of the Company recruitment procedure using online recruitment tools
Producing appointment letters and statements of main terms and conditions of employment.
Providing an effective administration and advisory service to the management teams regarding maternity, paternity, parental and adoption leave and pay.
Monitoring and controlling Company Service Awards.
Administering the Company's Information and Consultation forums.
*Collating and co-ordinating the Company Team Brief.
*Updating and maintaining accurate electronic and manual filing systems.
*Administering the Company pension scheme.
*Administering the Company procedure in relation to leavers and ensuring personnel files are closed and exit questionnaires are sent out.
*Effectively and accurately reporting statistical data to the management team including equal opportunities, pensions, sickness absence and employee turnover.
*Administering and co-ordinating work placements.
*Providing an effective administration service for the Training Academy Programme.
*Arranging and administering classroom training sessions, including booking venues and refreshments.
*Ensuring all examination papers are ordered and distributed in a timely manner.

To be considered for this amazing HR Assistant opportunity we are looking for the following;

*Good working knowledge of Microsoft applications particularly Microsoft Excel, and Word.
*Experience of using databases including data input and exporting of data to produce reports.
*Proven experience in working within an administration function.
*Drive to develop existing administration systems and the administration function.
*Experience in working within a HR environment would be an advantage or strong admin skills.
*Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
*A positive and proactive attitude to work and the ability to meet deadlines.
*Passion and enthusiasm about working in administration and working as part of a team.
