An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sales Manager to join a very creative, personable and exciting employer based in Guildford; the employer is one of the UK's leading operators of Theatres, Restaurants and Cultural Venues which then forms part of one of the largest entertainment groups in Europe.

This is a permanent position and will be reporting into the General Manager - you will be directly responsible for managing an excellent delivery team in the form of an Events Manager and Assistant Events Manager

* Pay - up to £35k per annum (dependant on experience) with an annual bonus based on financial performance

* Hours - 37 hours per week - must be flexible to work according to business need and this may vary i.e. starting at 2pm and finishing at 11pm when specific events are scheduled

As a Sales Manager you will be responsible for growing and developing the hospitality, conference and private events business across 6 unique spaces at the venue through understanding the local market, creating and delivering attractive event packages. You will need to grow the events business to ensure the annual budget is achieved and that the events schedule is full for the year.

Using the existing database and working closely with the Marketing and Sales Manager you will identify opportunities to upsell to corporate clients to maximise sales revenue.

Ensuring profitability by creating a mini profit and loss document in agreement with the General Manager for events, reviewing financial performance for ongoing events to replicate or amend accordingly.

The ideal candidate will have and be able to demonstrate:-

* Passion and experience as a Sales Manager or professional ideally within the Leisure and Hospitality sector
* Experience of being successful in a commercially driven environment against an agreed budget
* Ability to support the creation of a strategic sales plan and lead a team to implement successfully
* Ability to communicate with and manage relationships of key clients to achieve a mutually beneficial outcome
* Relevant Degree, Qualification or experience is required
