Manpower are currently recruiting for a Technical Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery Manager to join their Client - an on-site delivery specialist for multi-vendor products and services. The successful candidate will be dealing with Customer rehearsal support, building of rehearsal hardware and testing of the Operating Systems. This is in the field of Disaster Recovery onsite in Reading.

The candidate will also be responsible for support/troubleshooting of technical issues that occur before & during the process and then after rehearsals, cleaning & dismantling of the hardware and the creation of any reports required for support of the site.

The role is standard office hours , Mon to Fri 09:00 to 17:30, but there will also be a requirement to support an on call roster on a 1in4 basis. There will be car allowance included for any support required at any other locations.

The Rehearsal activity comprises of 60% of the role, the remaining time will be utilised maintaining existing hardware and the physical site supporting the rehearsal workload. Customer rehearsal management involves engagement with the customer in advance to define technical details and contractual equipment required to ensure smooth event.

The building & testing of rehearsal environment could include PC imaging, configuring of tape drives, hardware OS and LAN. Hosting of customer rehearsal and active support/troubleshooting of any technical issues that occur with their environment. Creation of a Post Rehearsal Report following defined template/standard. Decommission of equipment erasing customer data and dismantling configured hardware.

The predominant equipment supported is Intel hardware, HPE Tape Libraries, EVA and 3Par SAN and HPE networking. Though it will not be limited to H.P. manufactured equipment.

Skills required are good understand of Microsoft OS, basic principles of SAN & LAN. At least 2 years' experience on Wintel hardware & associated peripherals. I.e. Tape drives, storage arrays & network switches.

It will be desirable to own:

Good network knowledge & ability to setup & configure SAN & LAN environments.
More detailed knowledge of HPE tape libraries & Storage products I.e. EVA.
