We have an exciting opportunity to recruit an Onsite Support Engineer for our Client based in Hampshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out in-depth fault finding and fault rectification via on-site configuration changes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain user accounts including monitoring of folder sizes
- Administer the file system
- Perform routine system housekeeping, schedule and perform system back-ups
- Monitor file space allocation and ensure the integrity of the system
- Configure printers/ terminals on the network as required
- Configure and test equipment for off-site deployment
- Re-configure and test returned equipment from deployment
- Assist in applying software updates to the system
- Liaise with the appropriate authorities for WAN port allocation
- Control dial-up data links
- Monitor and liaise with site system administrators to rectify problems
- Monitor WAN communications and liaise with the local Client support to rectify failures
- Perform routine directory updates, maintain user and site directory listings
- Co-ordinate the replication and distribution of directory data within the system
- Provide system level support of databases on behalf of appropriate Client Data Managers
- Schedule back-ups/ archiving and transaction logs
- Roll back data after any system failures
- Monitor data integrity and security
- Administer interfaces to other systems as per the SLA
- Assist the Client in carrying out 1st Line inspection, replacement and software re-builds of failed equipment as required.

Essential Skills:
- Able to travel to other Client sites as needed, primarily Portsmouth Harbour and Plymouth
