Our client continues to support nationwide housing clients through the delivery of large scale stock condition survey and HHSRS assessment programmes across the UK. Following the successful completion of approximately 4,000 surveys, we are now commencing a further programme of circa 3,800 surveys to be completed before the end of the year.
We are seeking experienced Stock Condition Surveyors to support survey delivery across the Southern regions of the UK as part of this ongoing national programme on a contract basis starting very soon.
This position will be on an hourly rate on a PAYE or Umbrella basis. Please note that a DBS check will be required and possibly given the nature of some of the surveys, an enhanced DBS may need to be carried out.
Some working away may also be required however there will be an overnight allowance to cover accommodation.
The Role
Successful candidates will undertake stock condition surveys and HHSRS assessments within occupied social housing properties, using iPads to record and upload survey data in accordance with programme procedures and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake all surveys allocated within your individual programme.
- Complete survey completion forms to accurately report whether surveys were completed in full, external only, or aborted.
- Comply with all programme standard operating procedures, including:
- access attempts
- survey completion standards
- data uploads
- liaison with the programme team
- Awabb's Law
- Maintain high standards of professionalism while working within occupied residential properties.
Requirements
- Proficient in the use of iPads and digital data collection systems.
- Degree in Building Surveying or equivalent technical experience.
- Experience undertaking stock condition surveys within social housing.
- Experience carrying out HHSRS assessments.
- Understanding of the implications and reporting requirements associated with Awaab's Law.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to travel and undertake overnight stays where required (preferred).
