ROLE:
2 Student Research Assistants
INSTITUTION:
Birmingham City University
PROJECT:
Mindfulness-based interventions for Health: Evolving research and evidence-based material for impact generation, knowledge exchange, continuous professional development
DATES: 15 June 2022 - 15 August 2022
HOURS: 60 hours (6 per week over 10 weeks)
PAY: £9.70/hour
THE PROJECT
A variety of practices and interventions have been developed that have proven to be successful in health behaviour change. Psychoeducational material and community/patient guidance was appropriate for research, but is inapt for general public use. The research has already been conducted, providing ample evidence on the effectiveness and the why someone should use the tools proposed through various peer-reviewed publications. At this point it is a matter of using for impact generation, knowledge exchange, continuous professional development and external funding. The research assistant(s) will be responsible for the development of "how to…" guides that can support the dissemination of how to engage with practices for health and wellbeing, for staff and students, and potentially indirectly influence the performance and outcomes of the institution. Interest in learning and developing videos through a software is desirable, but not necessary. An interest in psychological interventions and mindfulness-based interventions will be a benefit to the project.
Deadline for applications: 3pm, 12 June 2022
How to apply: Please submit a CV, and cover letter explaining why you are suitable for the position, referencing your skills and experience.
