Clinical Administrator:

Our client, a leading energy provider in the UK is currently recruiting for a Clinical Administrator to join their busy Occupational Health office in Coventry.

Pay: £12.42 per hour

Hours: 30 hours, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 08:00 - 14:00 Wednesday 08:00 - 16:00

Location: Westwood Business Park, Coventry, CV4 8LG

Contract: Ongoing

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • System management and administration of eOPAS Clinical records system
  • Design, development and running of reports in relation to health and wellbeing
  • Providing medical secretariat for the Occupational Health Physician including support of the ill health retirement process
  • Managing where appropriate the process for access to medical records requests, and where necessary coordinating the correspondence with external medical professionals
  • Providing first line contact on behalf of the Occupational Health Service including the management of referrals, booking of appointments and liaison with key business contacts.
  • Being point of contact for OHA in the event of inability to fulfil clinic due to travel, IT, infrastructure, equipment or sickness including on the day contact of employees and managers to reschedule appt to phone with another OHA/cancel and reschedule appointment, record actions in eOPAS
  • Receive calls from manager/employee on the day to cancel appt- to allow appt to be utilised for short notice cover
  • Coordinate the calibration of medical equipment
  • Processing pre-placement medical forms/progressing to OHA for clinical consideration
  • Control and issue of OH clinical literature/forms/equipment as required for clinical delivery
  • Stock management of consumables
  • Control and management of clinical note archive
  • Maintaining confidentiality and complies with data protection requirements for all health related activity, records and information.

Skillset Required:

  • Good working knowledge of database systems
  • Excellent working knowledge of key IT software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP and Dragon
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrable 'trouble shooting' The post holder has a shared responsibility, as a member of the HSSE function, for meeting the HSSE Service objectives and delivery of the agreed HSSE Service outputs.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks with minimum supervision

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in an occupational health or medical environment
  • Robust and empathetic nature
  • Ability to deal with complex queries
