Customer Service Advisor - Coventry CV4

Our client, a leading energy provider in the UK are currently recruiting for a Customer Service Advisor to join their growing team in their offices based at Westwood Business Park in Coventry.

This office is responsible for Energy installation services, surveying and installing energy efficiency measures for our customers, currently these include boilers, external wall, air source heat pumps, cavity and loft insulation. The role of the Customer Service Advisor is to support the sales team taking inbound calls or make outbound calls to customers who have already registered an interest and take them through a sales conversation, ensuring that the sale is compliant and in the customers best interest whilst taking them through a finance application or looking at other payment options in line with FCA controls and TCF.

Pay rate: £10.22 per hour

Contract: Ongoing

Hours: Full time 37 hours: The office is open Monday to Friday 8am - 6pm and Saturdays 8am - 4pm

Main responsibilities:

  • Receive inbound calls from / make outbound calls to prospective new customers regarding being referred to a lender for an unsecured loan application. The loan would be used to cover the cost of purchasing and installing Energy Installation Services products
  • Explain the lender referral process to the customer ensuring that they understand
  • Capture key prospective new customer information and their consent for the referral process
  • Facilitate the referral to the lender and manage the outcome of the referral
  • Identify complaints and escalate to the Resolutions team, ensuring the customer is aware of the next steps
  • Ensure that targets are met, and that we are providing all solutions to our customers
  • Make outbound calls to existing customer and structure calls to maximise contact rates with key decision makers.
  • Receive Inbound calls from existing and new customers and structure calls to maximise retention and acquisition rates.
  • Promote the features and benefits of the business to existing and potential new customer.
  • Understand customer's experience with us and ensure that all recommendations around products and services have been made for the customer to save money through energy efficiency measures.
  • Record competitor intelligence for competitive and un-competitive quotes including price positions, negotiation points and new product features which will be analysed monthly by the pricing teams to make appropriate adjustments to align prices to strategy.

Skills Required:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft PC applications (Outlook, Excel).
  • Passionate about delivering an excellent customer experience.
  • You must have previous experience of working in a customer service or sales role.
  • Have attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience of complaint identification.
  • Able to follow rules and guidelines Good relationship skills to work with remote teams
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Proven track record of delivering excellent service to customers and stakeholders at all times
  • A strong team player with an excellent attitude and professional character
