Manpower are looking for a 7.5 tonne Delivery Driver to work for our client based in St Helens. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing company, working in brand-new facilities with top-of-the-line equipment, while making a positive environmental impact.

Hours of Work

Mon - Fri : 10:00Am - 20:00pm

This is a job and finish role, operating on an accumulative weekly hours basis.
Some days may run up to 10 hours, while others may finish earlier depending on the daily workload.
Flexibility is required, and the emphasis is on safely completing your full daily tasks.

Job Overview:

As a Delivery Driver, you will be the "face of the business," delivering fresh cooking oil to the catering industry and collecting used oil to return to the Micro site. Relationship building with customers is key, as our client aims to ensure every order is fulfilled in a timely, efficient, and friendly manner. You'll also have the opportunity to assist in generating new business during your rounds.

Requirements:

• 7.5 tonne Driving Licence
• DCPC
• Digital Tacho card

Experience:

Proven experience driving 7.5 tonne vehicles in the UK, with a solid understanding of road laws and regulations (6 months minimum)
Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with the Transport Office, customers, and other drivers.
Professionalism: Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times.
Customer Service Orientation: A friendly, positive attitude with a willingness to engage with customers to enhance their experience.
Sales Experience (Desirable): Experience in business-to-business sales and achieving sales targets as part of a driving role would be an advantage but is not essential.
Safety Awareness: Strong knowledge of vehicle safety and workplace health and safety regulations.
Problem-Solving Ability: Ability to handle unexpected situations and demonstrate problem-solving skills.
Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail, particularly when handling documents.
Reliability & Flexibility: A strong work ethic, reliability, and flexibility with work hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays if needed.
