Hiring for a reputed client as they grow fast-your work will directly help minimise downtime and maximise vehicle availability for customers across exciting industries.
What you'll be doing:
* Manage the stock control process-ordering, allocation, and parts in/out to reduce time off the road
* Keep vehicle records up to date by logging new defects efficiently into the Vehicle Management System
* Generate daily reports on vehicles that are off road or have significant issues
* Ensure MOTs, preventative maintenance and servicing are booked correctly to meet KPIs and maintain hire availability
* Oversee parts ordering, supplier engagement and timely parts procurement through clear communication and negotiation
* Support coach building work-streams and help coordinate parts required for ongoing work
* Run parts storage and stocktaking-booking items in and allocating them to the right vehicles
* Manage the return and disposal process for parts no longer required, including items with surcharges
* Set up new supplier accounts and source required products
What you'll bring:
* Strong computer literacy-comfortable using inventory control systems for stores/parts operations
* A good knowledge of vehicles, with some mechanical experience or prior parts management experience viewed as ideal
* Stores experience in a mechanical/garage/motor factors environment (or comparable)
* Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work effectively with limited supervision
* Strong communication skills, with confidence handling invoice/account queries and setting up new suppliers
* Knowledge of Health and Safety at Work Act principles, including safe manual handling (capacity to lift products up to 20kg)
* A full, valid UK driving licence
