About the Role

We're looking for a reliable and hands-on Painter / Labourer to join our busy workshop team in Bishops Waltham. You'll play an important role in the preparation and painting of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs)-including scissor lifts and boom lifts-ensuring each machine is painted and finished to a high professional standard.

This is a practical, varied position combining industrial painting, surface preparation, and general workshop support within a friendly and supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and paint mobile elevating equipment to a high-quality finish.

• Carry out surface preparation including cleaning, masking, sanding, and grinding.

• Remove old or failing paint using tools such as sanders or grinders.

• Apply industrial coatings and finishes using aerosol or spray systems.

• Work efficiently to meet production targets and maintain workshop standards.

• Follow all site health & safety procedures and wear provided PPE.

• Support general labouring and workshop duties as required.

About You

• Previous experience in an industrial painting, workshop, or mechanical finishing role.

• Able to work independently and as part of a close-knit team.

• Good attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work.

• Reliable, punctual, and proactive with a positive attitude.

• Physically fit and comfortable performing manual tasks.
