Location: Polegate PO14
Salary: £125 - £150 per day (competitive, based on experience).
Overtime x 1.5 for evening and Saturday shifts; x 2 for Sunday shifts.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 5pm (9.5-hour days). Overtime flexibility is required to work evenings and weekends, when needed.
Tree Climbing & Surgery:- Safely and efficiently perform tree climbing and tree surgery tasks as per you training and certification including pruning, felling, dismantling and crown works, in accordance with industry standards and following BS3998 (British Standard for Tree Work Recommendations) as well as the Arboricultural Association's technical guides, specifically:
- Tree Climbing and Aerial Rescue
- Use of Tools within a Tree
- Rigging and Dismantling
- Use of mobile cranes in tree work
- Use of Mobile Elevated Work Platforms within a Tree
- Use a variety of tools and equipment, such as chainsaws, ropes, harnesses, and MEWPs, to carry out tree work to the highest standard.
- Maintain strong attention to detail in all tasks to ensure that work is completed according to safety protocols and client specifications.
- Engage in regular Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to stay updated on current legislation, safety procedures, and personal fitness.
- Conduct aerial rescue operations and maintain competence to company and industry standards. If standards fall below expectations, re-training is required.
Teamwork & Independence:- Work independently on individual tasks while being an active and cooperative team member when needed.
- Assist with team operations, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
- Clearly communicate felling strategies to the team to ensure safety and a productive and efficient site.
Customer Service & Communication:- Maintain good communication with clients, always ensuring a high standard of customer service.
- Always represent the company in a professional and courteous manner when interacting with clients and the public.
Health & Safety Compliance:- Adhere to all relevant health and safety guidelines and risk assessments, ensuring safe working practices.
- Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and equipment according to manufacturer and company guidelines to ensure safety on site and during tree work.
- Report any issues or hazards to the Team Leader or Supervisor as needed.
Maintenance & Tool Management:- Take responsibility for your tools and equipment, ensuring regular maintenance and safe storage. This includes being fully responsible for maintaining and caring for your assigned kit and ensuring readiness and cleanliness before LOLER inspections.
- Keep tools and equipment in good working order as per the manufacturer's guidelines, report any issues promptly to your manager, and ensure faulty equipment is removed from service immediately.
General Site Duties:- Maintain a clean and organised work site, ensuring all debris is cleared and areas are left tidy.
