Senior Customer Service Representative
Location: Basingstoke
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9-5
Pay: £15.38 per hour
You will manage the full export process for international customer orders. This includes preparing documents, organising shipments, working with freight partners, and keeping customers informed. The role requires strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage international customer orders and ensure shipments are sent on time.
- Coordinate transport with freight forwarders, carriers, and warehouse teams.
- Prepare export paperwork such as invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
- Handle customer queries and complaints professionally.
- Work with internal teams to resolve stock, pricing, or documentation issues.
- Communicate updates to customers about delays or delivery status.
- Monitor export performance (e.g., LOTIF) and act when targets aren't met.
- Support continuous improvement activities (PPI).
- Follow all Health & Safety and compliance requirements.
Requirements
- Experience in export, logistics, or customer service.
- Knowledge of SAP and strong skills in Excel and Word.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience handling complaints/conflict.
- Basic knowledge of export compliance (preferred).
