Class 1 Bitumen Driver - Teesside, UK

Manpower are supporting a highly reputable firm in Teesside who require support throughout the summer months with their Bitumen deliveries. Deliveries are typically local, though can be further afield when required, therefore applicants must be willing to stay out overnight on occasion.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate Class 1 (C+E) vehicles to transport bitumen and related materials to various sites across the region.
• Ensure timely and safe delivery of goods, adhering to all road safety and traffic regulations.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any defects or maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with company policies.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials when necessary, following health and safety guidelines.
• Follow all company safety procedures and contribute to a safe working environment.
• Communicate effectively with the logistics team and site personnel to coordinate deliveries.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Current Driver CPC certification and Digital Tachograph card.
• Previous experience operating large commercial vehicles, preferably within the construction or materials supply sector.
• Good knowledge of UK road networks and traffic regulations.
• Strong attention to safety and compliance standards.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks when required.
