Manpower are now recruiting for a Logistics Trainee and are pleased to offer the rare opportunity to join a global freight forwarder as a multi modal exporter shipping a variety of goods to a large number of countries and destinations. This role will involve working with airlines, shipping lines, UK clients, overseas offices, UK offices as well as a busy team in Manchester. The job also includes experience of producing UK Customs entries through CDS for export consignments. Strong numeracy, English I.T. and planning skills are essential for the candidate to be successful, starting in January 2026.
Responsibilities:
- Booking and processing export jobs by airfreight and ocean-freight with airlines and shipping lines either online or by phone.
- Processing UK export Customs documents through CDS.
- Invoicing clients and entering cost reserves for P/L
- Arranging collections and delivery of freight to the export warehouses.
- Labelling export freight accurately to ensure it arrives at the correct destination

- The ability to track and trace shipments by updating our online portal.
- Experience in invoicing out clients including entering suppliers' cost reserves.
- Labelling freight off-site at our warehouse and producing export documents either manually or digitally.
