Job Title: Road Freight Operator

Salary: £25,000 - £27,000 per annum (negotiable depending on experience)

About the Role
My client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Road Freight Operator to join a growing logistics team based in Bristol. This position is ideal for someone with existing road freight experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building strong customer relationships.
The team is friendly, supportive, and focused on shared success - you'll be joining a close-knit group within a branch that continues to expand on the back of strong performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a dedicated set of customer accounts.
• Handle all aspects of bookings, including quoting and arranging transport.
• Provide accurate spot quotes and ensure timely follow-up.
• Maintain customer relationships, ensuring a high level of service.
• Process invoices and resolve invoice-related queries.
• Respond to phone and email enquiries promptly and professionally.
• Support the wider operations team as required.

Skills & Experience
Essential:

• Experience within road freight or transport operations (import/export or domestic).
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to multitask and thrive under pressure.
• Confident using IT systems and handling documentation.
• Reliable, proactive, and eager to learn and take on new tasks.
• Excellent time management and attention to detail.

Desirable:

• Basic knowledge of customs procedures.
• 2-5 years' experience in a similar role within freight forwarding or logistics.

Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm
