Process Technician

Location: Fareham (Fully On-Site)
Duration: 6 months initially (with potential for extension or permanent)
Rate: £22.00 per hour

Are you an experienced Process Technician with a background in electronics manufacturing? Our client is looking for a skilled individual to join their production team, supporting the rework, modification, assembly, and testing of electronic products to the highest quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a fast-paced, high-tech manufacturing environment with overtime and shift opportunities available.

What you'll be doing:

• Carry out rework and modifications on electronic assemblies in accordance with IPC standards.
• Build assemblies and sub-assemblies following approved manufacturing procedures.
• Conduct basic testing at sub-assembly and general assembly (GA) level.
• Complete test reports and accurately maintain production documentation.
• Update and maintain business information systems as required.
• Ensure all work is completed to quality, safety, and production standards.
• Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to support efficient manufacturing operations.

What you'll bring:

• A minimum of two years' experience in a similar electronics manufacturing or production environment.
• Experience with electronic assembly, rework, and modification activities.
• Working knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-A-610, J-STD-001 or equivalent experience is advantageous).
• Experience carrying out basic testing and inspection of electronic assemblies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Competent user of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• A methodical, analytical approach with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
