Junior Electronics Engineer

Bellshill, North Lanarkshire | Up to £30,000 | Permanent

We're supporting a growing technology business that is looking to add a Junior Electronics Engineer to its expanding team. Working alongside experienced engineers, you'll gain hands-on exposure to the full product development lifecycle, helping to design, build, test and troubleshoot electronic hardware used in innovative engineering projects.

What You'll Do

  • Assist with the design and development of electronic hardware
  • Build, modify and test electronic circuits and assemblies
  • Support fault-finding and debugging activities on boards and systems
  • Carry out hands-on laboratory testing and measurements
  • Work with analogue and digital electronic circuits
  • Support product development and continuous improvement projects
  • Assist with component selection and engineering documentation
  • Learn from senior engineers and contribute to technical problem-solving activities
  • Develop practical skills across the full engineering lifecycle

What We're Looking For

  • Degree, HND or equivalent qualification in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline
  • A genuine interest in electronics, hardware and product development
  • Practical experience gained through university projects, placements, personal projects or industry experience
  • Basic understanding of analogue and digital electronics
  • Soldering experience, or a strong willingness to learn
  • Enthusiastic, curious and eager to develop new skills
  • Confident communicator who isn't afraid to ask questions
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and hands-on approach
  • Full UK driving licence and ability to commute to Bellshill

Desirable Skills

  • Experience building electronic projects, whether academically, professionally or as a hobby
  • Familiarity with oscilloscopes, multimeters or other test equipment
  • Knowledge of microcontrollers or embedded systems
  • Understanding of FPGA-based systems
  • Exposure to CAD or PCB design software
  • RF or communications systems knowledge
