Job Title: Plater
Location: Hinkley Point C (HPC), Somerset

Job Purpose:
To carry out plating and fabrication activities safely and to the required quality standards in support of construction works at Hinkley Point C.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mark out, cut, shape, and assemble plate and structural steel components.

• Interpret and work from engineering drawings and templates.

• Carry out fitting, aligning, and tacking of components prior to welding.

• Use hand tools and fabrication equipment safely and effectively.

• Ensure all work meets required quality and safety standards.

• Carry out basic checks on tools and equipment before use.

• Maintain a clean and safe working area.

• Work as part of a team to meet project deadlines.

Requirements:

• Relevant plating or fabrication experience/qualifications.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

• Previous site or construction experience preferred.

• Good understanding of health & safety on site.

• Ability to follow instructions and work to deadlines.

Desirable:

• Experience on large infrastructure or industrial projects.

• Experience working in highly regulated environments.
