The role

The difference our Programme Manager, Dreadnought will make

As the Programme Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary to lead our mission critical, high profile and complex programme with change and transformational elements.

Your key responsibilities will be to lead a multi-disciplinary team to deliver systems for the UK's national deterrent Platform, the Dreadnought class SSBN. You will have comprehensive experience of managing programmes in the support of delivery of large and technically complex equipment/system contracts, preferably for MoD and commercial customers.

We are looking for an accomplished leader with excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to interact successfully at a senior level with leadership, Commercial and MoD customers. You will be confident, tenacious and naturally inclined to always find solutions to challenging situations. Importantly you will need ability to champion high performance and inspire others.

Day to day, you'll be providing leadership, guidance, and support to a large team prioritising to meet delivery commitments and financial goals. You will be the person responsible for interacting directly with the Customer and ensuring their awareness and confidence in our client's delivery remains high. To achieve this you will possess experience in developing and implementing business cases, delivery plans and growth strategies.

Essential experience

  • Have a strong level of Project and Programme Management knowledge, plus experience and track record in delivering complex engineering programmes from design through to manufacture with complex supply chains
  • Degree or equivalent qualification / experience.
  • Holds a recognised project management qualification such as APM PMQ, ChPP or equivalent
  • Be eligible for SC level (UK) security clearance.
