Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor

Glasgow

Temporary to permanent position

Our client is a growing and highly respected building services contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects and building long-term client relationships. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their close-knit and supportive commercial team.
This is an excellent opportunity for either:

* An ambitious Quantity Surveyor with solid industry experience looking to take the next step in their career
* A Senior Quantity Surveyor seeking a fresh challenge within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment
* A Commercial Manager looking for a role that offers variety, autonomy and genuine career progression
Whilst experience within Mechanical and Electrical contracting would be advantageous, it is by no means essential. The client is primarily seeking a commercially astute, proactive and hardworking professional who can operate independently, add value to the team, and build strong relationships across projects.

Key Responsibilities

* Managing the commercial aspects of projects from inception through to final account
* Cost planning, forecasting and budget management
* Contract administration and commercial reporting
* Managing subcontractor accounts and valuations
* Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
* Supporting project delivery teams to ensure commercial success
* Building and maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships

What We're Looking For

* Experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Senior Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager
* Strong commercial awareness and contract knowledge
* Ability to manage workloads independently and take ownership of projects
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* A positive, team-focused attitude and strong work ethic
* Mechanical and Electrical sector experience beneficial but not essential
