Senior Electronic Engineer - Analogue & Digital Systems

This is a senior, hands-on design role where you'll take ownership of innovative electronic designs from concept through to volume manufacture, supporting applications in telecommunications, space, defence and high-altitude platforms.

What You'll Do:

  • Design and develop analogue, digital and mixed-signal electronic circuits
  • Create signal conditioning, filtering, amplification and power supply solutions
  • Develop digital systems using microprocessors, ADCs, DACs and associated logic
  • Produce detailed specifications, simulations and component selections
  • Capture schematics and define PCB requirements, materials and stack-ups
  • Work with PCIe, USB, Ethernet, CAN, I²C and SPI interfaces
  • Perform system integration, verification and validation testing
  • Troubleshoot hardware and communication issues throughout development
  • Lead and contribute to design reviews, risk mitigation and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Conduct thermal analysis, MTBF calculations and tolerance analysis to ensure robust product performance

What We're Looking For:

  • Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent industry experience
  • Strong component-level analogue and digital circuit design experience
  • Experience with schematic capture and PCB design tools (Altium Designer desirable)
  • Knowledge of EMC/EMI design and testing principles
  • Confident using oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analysers and logic analysers
  • Experience in RF or microwave electronics would be advantageous
  • Understanding of design for manufacture and production support
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
