About the Project

We are seeking an experienced Signal Integrity (SI), Power Integrity (PI) and Telecom Timing Validation Consultant to support validation and compliance activities for an advanced networking platform targeting telecom, vRAN and time-sensitive networking applications.

The project includes validation of:

1G / 10G / 25G Ethernet interfaces
SyncE (Synchronous Ethernet)
IEEE 1588 PTP
GNSS-disciplined timing
DPLL and clock-generation subsystems
OCXO holdover architectures
PPS and ePPS interfaces
Telecom synchronization compliance, including G.8262 and G.8262.1

The successful candidate will own laboratory characterization, compliance execution, debug and documentation activities leading to production readiness.

Key Responsibilities

Signal Integrity Validation

Execute Ethernet compliance and characterization testing at 1G, 10G and 25G.
Perform eye-diagram analysis and jitter decomposition.
Characterize channel performance, insertion loss, return loss and crosstalk.
Support debugging of PHY, SerDes and recovered-clock issues.
Validate DAC, AOC, optical and breakout-cable configurations.

Telecom Timing Validation

Execute and document SyncE clock characterization.
Perform MTIE and TDEV measurements.
Run wander generation and tolerance testing.
Perform noise-transfer and holdover characterization.
Validate reference switching and PPS/ePPS timing.
Characterize DPLL and OCXO performance.

Laboratory Execution and Reporting

Develop and execute compliance procedures and automated data capture.
Produce test reports, evidence packages and calibration traceability records.
Maintain complete audit-ready evidence for telecom timing compliance programs.

Essential Experience

Must Have

10+ years of high-speed digital hardware validation experience.
Strong SI background with Ethernet interfaces from 1G to 25G.
Extensive jitter analysis, eye-diagram and compliance-testing expertise.
Experience operating high-end oscilloscopes and BERT equipment.
Strong, independent laboratory debugging skills.

Telecom Timing Experience

Candidates must have practical experience with one or more of the following:

SyncE
IEEE 1588 / PTP
Telecom synchronization networks
Wander analysis, MTIE and TDEV
Holdover testing
Frequency-distribution architectures
