Job Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair a wide range of defence and plant machinery and equipment at our service centre at Larkhall.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal operational performance.
- Assist in the installation, commissioning, and testing of new plant equipment.
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients and internal teams.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all repairs and maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Participate in training programmes to stay updated with the latest technical developments.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to improve service processes and equipment reliability.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in servicing and maintaining plant machinery or heavy industrial equipment.
- Relevant technical qualifications, such as NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical issues clearly to clients and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to plant machinery and workshop environments.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and computer-based maintenance systems.
- Full UK driving licence is essential
- HGV Licence - beneficial
- Experience with LOLER and PUWER Legislation
