HR Intern

Location: Cambourne

Term: 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract starting in May / June 2026

About the Role:

Our client is seeking an HR Intern to support around 470 employees, gaining hands-on experience across the full HR operations and employee lifecycle. The Ideal Candidate:
Experience:

  • Exposure to HR through academic projects, internships, or placements is beneficial.
  • Understanding of HR operations, employee lifecycle processes, or HR information systems is an advantage.

Skills:

  • Curious mindset with a strong passion for innovation and process improvement.
    Ability to work on own initiative, manage priorities, and deliver results in a busy HR environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with clear communication and a collaborative approach.

Qualifications:

  • Working towards or having achieved a bachelor's or master's degree in human resources or a related field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the rollout and daily use of the global HR Information System (Workday), ensuring accurate data and smooth adoption.
  • Provide administrative support across the new starter and onboarding process, helping to deliver a positive employee experience.
  • Assist the HR Business Partner and Head of HR with key people initiatives and projects aligned to business goals.
  • Contribute to HR compliance activities, maintaining documentation and helping to meet internal and external requirements.
  • Support HR events and activities such as careers fairs and outreach programmes, representing the organisation's employer brand. ​
