Mechanical / Electrical PCB Assembler


Location: Dronfield, S18
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £25,000 - £26,000 (DOE)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Shift Options:


  • 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM or

  • 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

    Working Days: Monday to Friday (No weekends)

The Role


As a Mechanical / Electrical PCB Assembler, you will be a key part of the Assembly Department, responsible for the accurate and efficient build of electronic, mechanical, and electro-mechanical products through to final instrumentation.

Key Responsibilities


  • Assemble PCBs, electro-mechanical sub-assemblies, optical and lens components, and final instrumentation

  • Use soldering irons, hand tools, light electrical tools, and designated equipment

  • Assist with optical alignment, testing, calibration, final inspection, and packaging

  • Assemble products accurately in line with work instructions and quality standards

  • Maintain high standards of Health, Safety, Environmental compliance, and 5S housekeeping

  • Report work order progress and escalate any issues promptly

  • Support Continuous Improvement (CI) projects to improve product flow and efficiency

  • Work flexibly across different tasks and departments as required

What We're Looking For


  • Strong manual dexterity and excellent attention to detail

  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with a strong sense of ownership

  • Ability to communicate effectively within a team and across departments

  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office / O365

  • Previous mechanical, electrical, or PCB assembly experience is beneficial but not essential

  • Experience with testing, calibration, or optical alignment is an advantage
