Job Title: Plant Operative / Waste Processing Operative

Location: Carryduff
Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 5:00pm (45 hours per week)
Pay: £12.71 per hour + Bonuses

The Role

We are recruiting for a Plant Operative to support the safe and efficient running of a busy waste treatment facility. This is a hands-on role involving plant operation, waste sorting, and general site duties to ensure smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate heavy plant and machinery safely and efficiently
• Monitor equipment performance and report faults
• Carry out waste sorting, segregation, and processing
• Follow all Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality procedures
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment
• Assist with loading, unloading, and movement of materials
• Complete basic records, checklists, and report issues to management

Requirements

Essential:

• Experience operating plant or machinery
• Ability to carry out manual/physical work
• Good communication skills
• Reliable with strong attendance
• Team player with a proactive attitude
• Flexible to work overtime when required

Desirable:

• CSR Card or Health & Safety qualification
• Full driving licence
• Experience with agricultural machinery
• Basic mechanical knowledge
