Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Thursday: 08:30 - 17:00
  • Friday: 08:30 - 13:30
  • 37 Hours p/Week - Overtime as required

Pay:

  • £12.33 p/hour (Standard)
  • £18.50 p/hour (Overtime)

A great manufacturing client of Manpower Group is seeking dedicated full-time Production Assemblers to join our team for an initial 90-day assignment (with good chances of extension or permanent employment thereafter).

This role involves the assembly of breath alcohol detection devices and includes tasks such as through-hole soldering, creating small pre-assemblies, and adding customer-specific software and configurations. The role may also include supporting assembly tasks in the Fuel Cell Laboratory. Individuals with a strong interest in electronics are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble breath alcohol detection devices with precision.
  • Perform through-hole and SMT (Surface-Mount Technology) soldering.
  • Utilise and maintain adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Record manufacturing data, including quantities and time entries, via the Epicor ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system.
  • Support stock management and handle inventory transactions.
  • Operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and quality standards.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience: Background in manufacturing, preferably in electronics.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Hands-on skills with a strong attention to detail.
    • Ability to read and interpret SOPs and BOMs (Bill of Materials).
    • Familiarity with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) /ERP systems and inventory management.
    • Soldering experience (Required).
  • Software Skills: Competent in PC operations, Excel, Microsoft word.
  • Attributes:
    • Strong hand-eye coordination.
    • Good vision as the assembly process contains very small parts.
    • Excellent time management and teamwork abilities.
    • Strong communication and a willingness to learn new skills.
    • Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable to meet project deadlines.
