Job Role: Manual Handler/Production Operative with FLT
Shifts: 14.00-22.00 and/or 22.00-06.00.
Pay rate: £13.99
Location: Leigh
Temporary - 12 weeks (possible extension)

Job Purpose: To support the day?to?day operation of the compounding and production unit by carrying out hands?on production duties, material handling, and FLT operations, ensuring output targets, quality standards, and health & safety requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and support compounding and production machinery in line with set processes and work instructions.
  • Feed production lines with materials and monitor output to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Carry out visual quality checks on finished product and identify/report defects or process issues.
  • Assist with line changeovers, cleaning, and basic machine set?ups as required.
  • Complete production records, batch sheets, and system entries accurately
  • Operate FLT (Counterbalance essential) to move raw materials, pallets, and finished goods safely.
  • Load and unload deliveries and ensure correct stock rotation.
  • Supply production areas with the correct materials in line with production schedules.
  • Work in line with all Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures at all times
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping within production and warehouse areas.
  • Support team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets.
  • Comply with quality standards and site procedures (ISO / internal standards where applicable)

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Previous experience in a production, manufacturing, or compounding environment
  • Hands?on production operative experience essential
  • Valid FLT Counterbalance licence
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions, recipes, and production schedules.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Good awareness of health & safety regulations
  • Reliable, flexible, and able to work as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work shifts where required.
